[0:00:14.1] Hey guys, Stephen Esketzis here from Marketing on the Move and it is a very late night. It is 12:09 AM. I’m still in the office, 12:09 AM. Last one in the office, last one and it’s been a massive, massive day.

So I wanted to quickly recap because I’m pretty exhausted to be honest. And I’m not going to lie. I don’t have a whole lot of energy anymore.

But I wanted to throw out a podcast before I go to the car. I wasn’t going to do all this driving home because I want to try and stay awake to drive home because it’s still going to be a 10/15-minute drive.

[0:00:46.8] But what I want to talk about was some of the tasks that I undertook today. And hopefully, it can help you guys in your business, in some way, shape or form. So I’m going to quickly run through my day and start it off with a nice morning gym session.

Now, I started getting back into this gym session routine. It’s something which I’ve started seeing—I’m not sure if it’s a fad, but I’m sure it’s been around for a while. But a lot of people are really getting into their morning routine and it’s something I’ve struggled with for a while.

I’m kind of still struggling with it here and there, but like sleeping in, really not wanting to get out of bed, something which I enjoy my sleep a little bit. So not a lot, I’ve got to sleep until midday but I definitely struggle if it’s before 7 o’clock.

So regardless, I wake up now twice a week at 7 o’clock to be at the gym by 7:30 in the morning which is a bit of an accomplishment for me, even though when I was younger, I used to do way earlier. But now, at the gym at 7:30.

Today, I smashed out, I went out and worked out with a friend. So we stayed from about here up a bit later. So by the end of the workout, it’s about 9 o’clock.

Then we went and got some breakfast and then head a shower, came to the office and started working at about 10:30.

[0:01:59.0] So today, one of the big things that I focused on and you’ll probably going to see in the next couple of weeks on the website is we’re doing a massive, massive overhaul on my autoresponder. And I’m working with a really talented guy who is helping me with my autoresponder which is incredible.

So you’ll see some really cool stuff and I don’t want to spoil it, but that was one of the big things I worked on this morning. I was on the phone speaking with a few people about it and trying to figure out the best way to do things.

But yeah, you’re going to love what I’m bringing to the table. And hopefully, you can see what I’m doing, and yeah, it’s going to be a massive, massive change on my website.

So we’re going to be bringing out a couple of big things. So I was working on the autoresponder today on the phone with a few people for about two or three hours. So that was until the afternoon until about 1 o’clock.

[0:02:48.4] And then the next big task I had for the day was interviewing a couple of virtual assistants. So my current virtual assistant, who’s fantastic, has now been a bit busier so she can no longer take the position, which is unfortunate.

But it’s always good to get a new fresh assistant on board. I really enjoy working with people, but the hiring process, I’ve got to be honest, is not easy. And for me, I know there’s a whole lot of different companies out there.

There’s Upwork, there’s Freelancer, there’s a couple of other companies which will manage a whole lot of virtual assistants in the Philippines or Pakistan or wherever they’re from. And they’ll add their little percentage on top and they’ll train them and manage.

But right now, for me, so what I did, personally, I actually have a bit of success with Upwork or oDesk as it used to be called. So I just created a job listing on there, very specific now. I’m starting to perfect my job listings on there.

So I created one on there, got a whole ton of applicants. Straight away, I knew the ones that were rather wrong, interviewed three, and found one that was awesome. So today was the process of speaking with her and getting her on board.

So I told her she had the job which is fantastic. She was thrilled. And I’ve got my current assistant to train her up. So we did a two-hour call today where we went through all the systems of the business and all the things that we need to train and get them set up with e-mails and this and that.

So it’s a bit of a process in itself, but it was really exciting because I love getting some fresh blood in there. And she’s going to be taking care of a couple of new projects as well, so really exciting stuff. So that was one big thing.

[0:04:27.3] And the other things that I’ve been working on is I’m releasing some awesome, awesome blog posts for ClickFunnels.

And we’ve got some massive things coming out. We’ve got a massive launch, big birthday bash for ClickFunnels that you’ll be seeing. I think the dates are already up.

So if you go have a look. Actually, you can probably wait and go to ClickFunnels blog by the time this podcast is out and you’re listening, and you’ll see my posts on there. But yeah, there’s awesome stuff I can’t wait to show you guys, awesome stuff happening there.

And there’s going to be some awesome prizes, a dream car competition. So there’s a post about that, and action ethics and backpacking.

It’s going to be awesome. I can’t wait. So that was one of the things I was doing there. So we had a whole lot of blog posts writing that, took a few hours today.

[0:05:15.8] And then on top of that, I’m working on a super, secret new project for the website, on top of that autoresponder. And that one’s coming along really nicely, still a couple of weeks away, but it’s working, coming along really nicely.

I’ll give you more details about that when it comes out.

[0:05:32.8] And finally, my last – not last, but probably one of the later things I did was we’ve got a whole lot of templates coming up on ClickFunnels that I’ve put together. So I’ll let you know a bit more about what that is when they’re done.

But there’s some really cool templates coming up that I will tell you about shortly. I know this sounds like really mysterious, but I promise you that I will let you know everything shortly.

[0:06:00.0] But yeah, so overall, the point of this was that today was a really massive day. So I’ve been in here since about 10 o’clock AM and I literally have not left the office and it’s still 12:00 AM.

I think I moved my car twice because there’s supposed to be two-hour parking spots, so I may have left it there a little over what I should have which is probably a mistake, so I hope I don’t have a ticket.

[0:06:22.8] But aside from that, today’s been one of those days where it’s just been grinding hustle. It’s been good. I love it but it’s also tiring as well.

So it’s something which I think you need to reflect as an entrepreneur that just happens. Two days ago, I actually did a gravitational float, where was that?

That was in Melbourne, here, so not too far away, like half-an-hour drive, 20-minute drive from my house. And I went there and I literally relaxed.

I calmed down. If you don’t know what a gravitational float is, look it up on Google and have a look, or YouTube. You lie down on this, like a whole, I don’t know how to explain it, it’s like a tub of salt, really salty water, so you have to float on it.

You lie down and then you close the capsule and it goes pitch black. And you’re lying back and it feels like you’re in space because you’re just floating. It’s crazy. So that was amazing. And that was a really relaxing day.

That was one of the days where I just, in the middle of the day, I left the office at about – what time was that? – I left the office at about 12 o’clock in the afternoon, organized myself, went to this place. It was scary because you’re in like – I don’t know, it’s like a pod.

It’s like a pod from the future, it looks like. And you close the pod and it goes completely dark and I was so scared. I was like, “Man, it’s going to be claustrophobic.”

It turned out to be all right. It turned out to be really relaxing. It’s like a massage where you’re just sort of floating and you fall asleep.

You don’t know if you’re asleep or you’re tripping out. You don’t know what’s going on, and then music comes off and then wakes you up after 40 minutes. It’s crazy. So that was good. And that was more of a relaxing day.

And it’s interesting that like as entrepreneurs, sometimes like the reason we get into Internet marketing or any sort of marketing business is because of the leverage. It allows you to really work during hours.

But then other hours like today, like yesterday or two days ago, whenever I was relaxing, two days later, you could be working literally 12 hour-days. And today has been at least a 12 or 14-hour day, and it’s just crazy.

I love every second of it but it also is tiring. And it’s an up-and-down ride. So I think if you’re an entrepreneur you definitely know what I’m talking about.

If you’re someone who’s grinding away, one thing is you’ve got to be super passionate about what you’re doing, otherwise you’re not going to get through it. You’ve got to really enjoy what you’re doing, otherwise you’re going to struggle.

And that’s one of the things I found that a lot of people, they’re not passionate. They like the idea of working for themselves.

They like the idea of doing what they’re doing. They like the idea of starting a business. But at the end of the day, man, it’s just grinding it out.

It’s just pushing through. It’s just getting through all the crap. I mean, doing a gravitational float is awesome. Getting a massage is awesome.

Kicking back is awesome, but they’re the perks and that don’t happen too often, so it’s just crazy.

[0:09:09.1] I know for me right now in my business ,one of the biggest things I’m focusing on is building up my cash flow, just really, really, skyrocketing cash flow and building the website up. And just because I think at this stage, it’s something that’s really important for me.

So I’m really looking to build up cash flow. I guess cash flow is the wrong word. I’m looking to build up equity, equity in the business and equity in the value that I can give.

So that’s why these are the hours now, especially personally while I’m young. And as I grow, I really know that this is my primetime and all the way up until I’m probably in my 30s and 40s, really primetime to be able to churn it out.

So me personally, I don’t have like children. I don’t have a wife yet. I’ve got a girlfriend.

But at this time, this is probably as much freedom as I’ve got to really work on a business and work on marketing and work on all of this. So you just have to keep that in mind.

I think you’re going to be really smart with how you do everything. So when I’m saying 14/15-hour days, obviously that’s different if you’ve got a wife and kids. You can’t do this every single day of the week.

You can’t do this and you might struggle as well if you’ve got more financial commitments as well. You might have a mortgage, you might have this or that you’ve got to pay.

But at the end of the day, it’s all about the hustle. Like, you’ve just got to hustle it out to get to the position where you’re comfortable and you’ve set this up for success.

And if you’re not willing to put in the hard work, no one else is going to do it for you. You can outsource a lot of things, but you can’t outsource hard work. You can’t outsource the brains of the operation.

It just doesn’t work like that. So that’s what I want to give you guys tonight in this very late night session, hopefully making a little bit of sense.

But that’s what I wanted to give to you guys, that you can’t outsource the hard work as much as you’d like to. You can do a lot of things with it.

But at the end of the day, you’ve really got to put in the hours of writing blog posts. You’ve got to put in the hours of speaking to people and networking, and being on the phone and making money, and doing this and doing that.

And whatever you have to do, making sales calls, spending an hour with the client on the phone and then closing the sale. And then you’ve got to go through a whole lot of things.

You’ve got to go out through the time of setting up a sales funnel, doing the technical side, going back and forth with developers, going back and forth with graphic designers. That’s part of the business at the beginning especially.

I mean, as you grow, you can leverage and you can grow that up, but there is no way you can do a business and expect everything to run smoothly from the get-go, and especially if you want to make a lot of money.

[0:11:38.0] So I definitely want to make a lot of money. I know you guys definitely want to make a lot of money if you’re listening.

I know I’ve got a mixed bunch of audience out there, whether you’re a young entrepreneur or whether you’re a 40+, 50+, 60+-year-old man or woman who’s married, divorced, has children, I don’t even know. But all I want to tell you guys is just to really keep pushing it because there’s someone out there who’s working harder.

And I know that for a fact that while I was having my little gravitational float in my little cube thing, in my little sphere, in my little ball there and floating away for the hour, I know there’s someone out there who’s actually killing it and going after my equity, going after my brain, going after my customers. And that’s why I’ve got to hustle it out now to try catch up.

So remember that if you’ve got money, use your money and to invest and keep growing. Don’t spend it as soon as you get it. That’s another point I want to make.

One thing which another marketer taught me was, he goes, “As soon as I started making money”—and this guy’s a millionaire now, by the way—he goes, “What I do with my money, I start making money. I worked hard.

I had a lot of time in my hands, not a lot of money, so I worked hard, worked hard, worked hard for a few years.” Now, he’s got the money.

Now, he’s making four figured days, so he’s doing one, two, three, four, five, up to 10,000, maybe even higher days in his business. And yeah, it’s crazy.

So he goes, “What do you do now when you’ve got all this money coming in? You use it to save your time.”

Time is a limited resource. You’ve only got so much time in the day. When you’ve got money, you use that to buy back your time.

You use that time to grow your money and grow your wealth. And I think that’s really powerful.

So wherever you are in your business, whether you’re still in that position where you’re spending time to acquire money or you’re spending money to acquire time, it’s a real cat-and-mouse game. So you’ve got to see where you are in the business, where you want to keep taking it, where you want to keep pushing it.

If you knew the beginning, you’re working time to grab money. If you’re towards the middle and the end, you’re looking to systemize your business to bring back your time, and obviously reinvest that into the business or your personal life or whatever it is.

[0:13:51.1] But all I can say is every single thing requires hard work, whether it’s a hard work in your relationship, hard work on your business. Whatever you dedicate your time to is where your business will grow.

Whatever you’re focused on is what will grow and what will do really well. So I’ve kind of go under a few tangents there.

But hopefully that gives you guys a bit of an insight into what I’m doing here today. I did a Periscope earlier on and I had, I think, all of eight people on live.

So if you’re a fan of the podcast, please do follow me on Periscope, would love to see you on there and answer your questions and speak to you one-on-one. I do them live and I don’t save the replays anymore.

So if you want to jump on there, feel free and I can answer your questions and we can have a quick chat. But yeah, I’ve got lots to share with you guys in the next couple of weeks.

So there’s going to be lots of changes with people coming on board and the content coming out. So get excited, guys, it’s going to be good. It’s 12:30 AM here now and I am pumped.

We’ve got a big, few weeks ahead. So wherever you’re from, make sure you reach out to me, say hello. And yeah, give me some feedback.

I’ll keep you guys updated in what’s happening with the website and what’s happening with all of that. But yeah, if you want to reach out to me, shoot me an e-mail, stephen@stephenesketzis.com and we can go from there.

All right, guys. I’m going to head off. I’m going to start packing it up pretty shortly, go get some sleep. I got a couple of calls and meetings tomorrow.

So I’ll speak to you then. If there’s anything you want, shoot me a message and we’ll keep the conversation going. All right, guys. Have a good night.
