[00:15] Stephen: Hey guys, Stephen Esketzis here from Marketing on the Move.

And it’s been a while since I’ve done a podcast on my own. So I thought I’d whip out the phone, get the Dropvox going, and record a nice podcast episode for you on my own, no other guest this time and do a little bit of a review of what’s been going on my end in my business and in my life.

So recently, we had some awesome guests. We had Navid Moazzez, the Virtual Summit guy, he was killing it. It’s been awesome to catch up with him.

And we’ve had a whole lot of other people on board. I’m sure you guys can listen to them if you just scroll back up.

But yeah, we’ve had a whole lot of people recently on the podcast which has been fantastic. And it’s been great because I’ve really started to narrow it down, the people that I want on the podcast.

[01:00] I’m not really looking for the volume to get every entrepreneur on there that’s doing alright, but I really want to get specific group of people that I know that you guys will get a lot out of. So I think it’s doing really well.

We’ve got a few more people lined up to do the podcast for. But it’s been fantastic

[01:15] So what I want to talk to you about today though is I’ve gone on a bit of a holiday, a working holiday, an Internet marketer’s vacation. Like they say in America, “vacation” we call it, “holiday” in Australia.

But I’ve been on a vacation here across the US for the last two and a half weeks and I’m still here. And I’m going to be away in total for a month.

So I left Australia to come to America for this little working holiday. And what started that was I got a position with ClickFunnels, as I’m sure some of you may know, as their Head of Content Marketing, so managing their entire blog essentially, any of the content marketing which comes out of ClickFunnels. So that will be my position there.

And I manage to have a chat with Russell and the team, and we worked out an arrangement which now allows me to manage all their content marketing, which is awesome, because I love ClickFunnels. And I’ve been using them with my clients for a long time, ever since I came out and been getting epic results. So it’s awesome to be working with them.

So what happened was they pretty much said, “Alright, look, we’ve got Neil Patel coming up—this was after I got the position—We’ve got Neil Patel coming up to help us with our content marketing. We’re going to need you to come to America.”

So I’m like, “Awesome.” I love Neil Patel, I love what he does. It’s going to be epic to come and meet him.

So we organized a flight to come to America and then they also mentioned that there’s a funnel certification program two weeks later. So I was like, “Hell, man!” That’s two weeks later, I’m walking to my room between will I be working? It’s a while.

But having said that, it takes about 25 to 30 hours to get to America to Boise, where ClickFunnels is based. So I decided to stick around for the two weeks and take a bit of a holiday myself while working.

So it was a working holiday, still doing all my Internet marketing. But as you guys know Internet marketing, it means you can do it from anywhere and work off a laptop, which is the reason why most of us got into this business.

But yeah, it’s been incredible. So I left Australia. I had a really, really weird flight on the way up.

I think it was supposed to be like three flights, you can get there within like 20 hours, but it took me about 35 with delays, and I had to take another one. I missed a connecting flight, got to Boise though, spent a week there on a Hackathon with the rest of the team, met everyone there, and met Neil as well.

That was epic. Neil’s a machine with his content marketing strategies. And if you guys don’t know about him, go and head over to ClickSpread.com and have a chat to him.

I interviewed him on the podcast at the beginning of Marketing on the Move. So if you guys scroll back, you’ll be able to hear what we had a chat about. And that was a while ago. And it was funny.

I asked him,

“Do you remember when I interviewed you on Marketing on the Move?”

He was like, “Man, I get interviewed so many times that I have no idea what’s going on. But yeah, I think that can be awesome to have a listen.” So I showed him the interview that we did.

He said, “Oh yeah, I remember that. I’m sure.” He gets thousands of those. Just today, I was speaking to a bunch of university students that were streaming to their school, I know that’s crazy.

So, yeah, it was awesome speaking with him in the flesh. Got a couple of photos as well which was epic. I know Russell and the team loved it as well.

Some of the bits of information he delivered are going to be processed. You know, it was awesome. And then after that, what I decided to do, so left-click Funnels in Boise, and then I’ve got two weeks to explore a bit before I have to go back to Boise for the funnel certification program.

So I went to New York City after that for a few nights, tried Airbnb for the first time. That was pretty crazy. It was a bit weird, but it was good.

I got a good place, so I was happy with that, great hosts and everything. So if you guys do use Airbnb, I highly recommend it, especially in New York City, where prices are super expensive for hotels. So I got a really epic apartment, right in the middle, and it worked out really well.

[05:00] And then after that, I went to Miami, had a look at Miami. Miami Beach is absolutely incredible. The beach is fantastic. People there are crazy. It’s Miami.

There are a lot of super rich and famous people there. I took a speedboat around and saw Will Smith’s place, Carmen Electra’s place, and Enrique Iglesias’s place.

There are a whole lot of just super villas that people don’t even use. The rich and famous bought those properties and I think all or two are the same.

A lot of them, they buy for their children, and they get when they graduate. But they don’t even move into them, so half of them are empty, if not more.

And they go in just for the summer, and they use it more. They give it to friends to use and its pretty nuts. So yeah, it was awesome having a look at that and enjoying around Miami Beach, went out of bit as well. It was good.

It was really awesome. So Miami was epic; and then from Miami, I went to Vegas for a night, caught up with a few Internet marketers because I had a few meetings there, and then I didn’t get much of a chance to look around.

But I actually caught up with Dylan from ClickFunnels, one of the Founders. And I just missed Russell after they finished their interview with Tony Robbins, so they had a massive villa penthouse in Vegas.

So I quickly went by there for a night to check it out before they checked out of the hotel. So that was epic.

They spent like $3,000 or something a night on this penthouse to have Tony Robbins come in and do this, a few videos for the new funnel they’re doing for, which is epic. So it’s a shame I didn’t get to meet Tony.

He came in a day late, but it was great just to be there. And I had a chat with them, and it was awesome. So after that, I had meetings with a few other Internet marketers, a few affiliates as well.

And then, after that, I went to San Diego, and that’s where I am recording this now. So I’ve got three nights here in San Diego. I’m on my last night. And San Diego has been awesome.

I’ve caught up with a couple of people here as well. I can see why so many Internet marketers love it here, because the weather is awesome. People are awesome. It’s not so busy.

You’ve got everything here that you want. You’re by the water. It’s a real, nice place to live.

So I could definitely see myself moving here one day if I moved to the US. It’s one of the places where I could definitely kick back in.

And then, tomorrow, I’m going back to Vegas for the weekend, so that would be a bit of fun, and then straight to the certification program after that. And I’ll be actually presenting there as well, but I had to funnel hack someone’s website.

So I’m going to be going through all the tools, all the events, stuff with the funnel hacking certification guys. That would be awesome to about 150 people or something.

I can’t wait to do that. So yeah, it’s all happening. So that’s a bit of an update on my recent trip out here in America.

[07:53] But yeah, it’s been crazy. What I really wanted to do with this is, just to tell you guys, that leaving this laptop lifestyle. So I haven’t really done it as much as some other people have.

If you’re a blogger, if you’re someone that can really just work off the laptop, have consistent revenue, whether it would be through affiliate income or you’re selling digital products, it can really work for you. In the last three weeks, it really showed me that with this laptop lifestyle, you can really support yourself and go to hotels and eat out, and do whatever you want, and travel.

But at the same time, I don’t know if it’s for me. So I know there are a lot of people out there that are really doing Internet marketing, or they’ve been doing it for a long time.

And their goal is just to keep from working, and keep getting something leveraged to which they work off their laptop.  They’ve got their Macbook and they just travel.

And then, they can afford to do what they like and just keep moving and moving, but they don’t have to settle down, which is awesome. So I think I’m blessed to have the flexibility to be able to do this at such a young age.

So already, we had spent the month and making sure my income’s been one of the highest it’s ever been while I’m still travelling. So it’s awesome, guys. But yeah, it’s going to be an interesting few days ahead now.

But yeah, it’s going to be a big, big remainder of the 2015. I think this is going to be one of the biggest years I’ve had and I hope it’s going to be one of the biggest you’ve had, because there’s going to be a lot going on between working with a few people and introductions, and networking, which has happened. And it’s just been huge.
