[00:14] Stephen: Hey guys Stephen Esketzis here, and it is a Monday morning at 9 o’clock.
I’m going off to my first client this morning, going to be working on some of their marketing stuff. Getting their stuff done.
So I wanted to have a quick power up the quick chat with you guys about what it is for this Entrepreneurial Grind. I’m sure you’ve read the title, so pretty much there’s been a few things going on lately regarding just business working, in general, a lot of things have been changing.
[00:47] There’s one really new project, one really big project which I want to tell you about but I can’t reveal too much at the moment, but it will come out soon once it’s all ready to go and in the public I will be happy to let you know what it is and how it’s actually going.
What result’s it’s getting but it’s going to be big so, I’ll leave it there. It’s going to be a very, very big project actually, but apart from that, I wanted to have a chat about this Entrepreneurial Grind.
[01:15] I’ve got a lot of mates in the US, a lot of internet marketers, and they keep referring to this thing called the ‘Grind,’ so they talk about waking up, rise and shine time to grind.
And it sounds a bit weird but what I think it means, and I think it’s got a bit of different meaning for every body but what this grind really means is pushing through those days where as an entrepreneur as a business owner, you have your good days where you’re feeling top of the world where you just made a whole lot of money.
Everything’s going well, you’ve got a new shop, you’ve got a new design, and you’ve got something that’s happened that you feel really good about. So it energizes the entrepreneur.
[01:52] But the grind, now that’s doing those routinely things that you have to do everyday to keep a slow growth. So they’re the things that are realities the thing that are had at everyday sort of iron.
I will just do this; I will get my VA to do it. These are the things that you’ve got to do yourself, and that needs to be done for you to be successful, and I think that’s why they call it the grind.
So you need to grind these stuff out because it’s not easy, it’s not enjoyable, it’s not fun, but the people who do it and they do it well, and they do it consistently their the ones that come out on the other end with success. So this Entrepreneurial Grind I think is one of the most important parts of being successful as entrepreneurs.
[02:39] So, someone told me the other day that we’re in the age of startups, we’re the startup generation, and I love that. I love that we are the startup generation. However, I think in saying that a lot of people who wanted to start a business with startup don’t think—they think it’s more of a get out of job free card.
They think ah, well, I don’t want to be an employee. I want to be my boss. They sort of jump in the deep end, but they don’t expect to get through this grind.
They don’t realize that it takes a whole lot more than just an idea and a product to get you through a business. I mean you need to be up late at night, you need to be working multiple late nights.
You need to be able to work without sleep. You need to be doing a lot of things if you’re going to make it in your business especially getting it started and then even harder than that is starting to make sales and be profitable.
They’re one of the hardest things and you can’t do that if you just want some alternative to be an employee.

[03:39] You need to be absolutely passionate to your bones about running a business and being your own boss so this grind I think, anything, any industry, a hundred percent necessary for you to make sure that you’re successful. So, I don’t know, if you guys follow, some really big guys to follow which absolutely killing it, are Alex Becker, Com Mirza, Donald Wilson, a few of these guys you may not have heard but they’re doing pretty big things in the Internet Marketing space and Com Mirza I think is probably worth about 500 million dollars and if you follow them on Facebook, it’s definitely worth following him you’ll notice that I think every second status is almost grinding. Waking up, ready to grind.
Something like that and the biggest difference which I’ve taken away from him is this guy’s got 500 million dollars, he started I think about 10 or 12 businesses before his one became successful and then he just built more and more and more invested wisely and grew sustainably. So, that gives you a bit of an idea of how it started but regardless, right now, he’s worth 500 million dollars or so and he’s still working and hustling as if he’s got nothing.
So he still wakes up before 5am, as if he’s got nothing. He’s still working, and he’s still waking up as if the world’s against him and he just needs to get that extra dollar as if that’ll make all the difference in his bank account.
[05:06] I think that’s the only way you need to look at it when you’re an entrepreneur. Whether you’ve got hundred thousand, ten thousand, one thousand dollars in the bank if you’re not making sure that you’re working as hard as the guy next door who only has that hundred dollars or thousand dollars left in the bank then you’re going to be outdone because his work ethic is going to be off the charts.
He’s going to be grinding, ridiculously on tasks which you might not even do which you might think are a waste of time but he’s going to be knocking them out of the park and that’s going to be the real difference between who’s going to win the business at the end of the day.
[05:40] So, I just want to leave you guys with a bit of info, a bit of a wisdom on the grind. What I think it means and how I think it really impacts the business as an entrepreneur.
It’s definitely something that is; it’s a bit indescribable but something that never needs to happen regardless. If you don’t make sure that your own is a path and you’re really killing it every single day consistently with your work ethic then it’s the little thinks that are going to put you down.
Whether that be; you’re accounting, whether that be part of your marketing meter like sending emails, following up money, which is outstanding. There’s a whole lot of things there that I’m sure you guys can relate with, the undesirables of being a business owner and I don’t like them either, don’t get me wrong you don’t have to automatically like them but it’s the prices of getting through it and doing the work.
There’s no easy way about doing the work and I’ve seen it myself. I’m definitely someone who’s trying to get around to before and I can tell you it doesn’t work that well. Whether you outsource something, whether you get someone else to do it, whether you put it off. At the end of the day it catches up to you and you’ve got to do the work to get to that next level.
[06:50] So that’s my piece of Monday morning wisdom, get ready guys. Get pumped, make sure you’re nice and awake, and make sure you’re on the grind and pushing out these results. Let’s make this week the biggest week we’ve ever made it.
Let’s not go sells out at the park, get productive, focus on what you’re doing and close your Facebook page down, close your Facebook chat down, close your laptop and just focus on what needs to be done. If you need to call someone, make those calls, if you need a close people get a strategy in going in and close them.
Don’t fuck around; don’t screw it around the board because at the end of the day the results speak for themselves. Let’s do it guys, rise and grind and I’ll speak to you soon.
