[00:16] Hey everyone! It’s Stephen Esketzis here from stephenesketzis.com.
[00:21] I am filming a nice late night podcast. So what’s happened is that the podcast actually launched this evening Saturday night, so I’m super excited about that, can’t wait to start seeing a bit of a action happening from it.
And what I was thinking about and what I want quickly to talk about tonight — I don’t have a lot of time, but I’ve got about — I’ve got few minutes on hand so I want to quickly share this message with you.
[00:45] I kind of thought back to one of the reasons why I started this podcast because if I am looking myself, putting myself in the limelight for a second — I’m not even 21 years old and I am just thinking about how is this goning to reflect on me in the long term and that’s probably the reason I put together these podcasts.
[01:05] Number one is to give value to people and number two is because of the long term effect it has. So with the way I want to grow my business, I’m showing people how trustworthy and how much content I can provide to people.
So those are the two main reasons I put this together, and I just thought about saying, “Look I’m not even twenty one years old and I put together this podcast,” which is in its very early stages.
This is probably the fourth or fifth episode, but it’s just going to be looking at that, when it hits that 50th episode — fingers crossed that I can keep it going for that long —
But if I hit that, and when I hit that 50th episode on Marketing on the Move people are going to be coming to back this episode and listening and saying, “Wow this is all started from the bottom.”
So it started from the beginning and it’s really gotten to this level.
[01:55] So I want you to apply to yourself today and think ‘what do you want to be perceived as in about one year’s time. How do you wanna be perceived as in about one years’ time if people look at your life today?
[02:07] So is there a change you can make in your life or in your business right today, right now, at this moment in your life? Where in a year’s time people look back and go through your blog posts, go through your podcasts, go through something you’ve done or something you’ve written: where they can see the progress that you’ve made.
[02:25] I am not sure if I make sense here guys but hopefully you’re trying it. You can see what I am saying and that Gary Vaynerchuk does this really wild too.
You can go back and you can see his keynotes from 1 to 3 years ago, and you can see the massive difference in what he does now and a massive difference in how he presents his content. But what he has left is his legacy of how he’s come up to where he is today.
So he’s left this legacy of the advice that he’s given to all these entrepreneurs, to all these businesses, and how they can grow their businesses.
He has left videos and content for people to use as material to improve themselves and their businesses, which is fantastic, and the amount of people that watch all these videos that have been uploaded to YouTube that been put out by Gary Vaynerchuk —
[03:14] People are still watching them today and people are still using what he says today in their businesses and taking action on them. So that’s sort of what I am looking to do with this podcast as well: that once I get to the one hundredth episode of this podcast, people who enjoyed what I’ve been saying in the recent podcasts at that time will be able to go back and listen to them all.
[03:35] I did this with Russell Brunsons’ podcast because he is a phenomenal marketer and I really wanted to get as much content as I could from his podcast. So I literally went back from… I think he’s about 98 episodes in.
I went all the way back to number one and listened to them all and some of the value he provides is just crazy. For free as well, he doesn’t charge for it.
If he put that all into a CD he could easily charge $297 for it. It’s crazy!

[03:58] So I’m thinking that once I hit my hundredth episode, if one person at that time thinks ‘Geez!
This guy’s actually got some bit of a know-how or he’s actually got bit a reputation nowor some reason or somehow they stumble upon me on my website, they’ll be able to look at my podcast and go listen back right to episode number one, and they can see that this was a tactic and strategy to build value in my brand, — my personal brand– as well as my business.
[04:24] So think about that guys, how can you build content and build a reputation and an authority in your brand — your personal brand — or your business. What can you do today that in one years’ time can be reflected upon and can still be providing valuable information for your target audience?
[04:40] So regardless of now, after the hundredth episode comes out which might be in one years’ time, so this time next year, they can still go back to this episode I’m recording right now and they can still grab value from it.
They can still grab value from my previous episode on retargeting. They can still grab value from previous episode on Facebook ads.
[04:59] This value doesn’t change, so that’s what I want to invite you guys to do.
Create some sort of everlasting value that in a years’ time you still providing value to your audience whether they stumble upon you through your website, whether they stumble upon you through a podcast, wherever it might be, provide everlasting value to your audience through passive content.
So it doesn’t have to be created all at once and given away, but just like a podcast you do it day by the day and it just keep building and building your real reputation and your brand.
