[00:17] Hey everyone Stephen Esketzis here with Marketing On the Move Episode 2.
[00:23] I’m so excited to bring you another episode. Super keen to get it done and today I wanna talk to you guys about retargeting.
[00:32] So what I’ve just done is I’m just leaving a client now and I’m introducing retargeting to their business. They’ve never heard of it, never used it before. I’m deck to just leaving from them as well. So, they’ve never used retargeting before.
[00:44] I was explaining to them the concept and now I’ve learned away. So, I’ve been detail about what they do.
The inter-ventilation and what they do is they provide roof ventilation which is really interesting (I should know so much really interesting is probably the word – proper word to use). But it’s cool and it’s really interesting our fan to have at work and uses solar roof ventilation as well. It’s pretty cool!
[01:08] So, it’s definitely something which isn’t probably that much exciting there, it’s definitely not a fitness or some sort of medical product to djing or anything like that which is probably more interesting.
[01:23] But it’s a niche on the west and bringing retargeting they haven’t used it before. I’m gonna get them set up with adroll.
[01:31] So guys if you haven’t heard of adroll.com, and I was explaining to them the procedure about how it works. That if you guys haven’t heard of it or used it before, definitely going have a look. There are a few different companies that offer, adroll is one.
[01:43] But how it works really is when you go to a website, that website has a tracking pixel on there. Say you go to megglemasterclass.com, and you go to the website.
Now I’ve got a tracking pixel on there from adroll which is the company that we’re using. And every visitor that goes to the website get a little cookie saves.
[02:02] May say that cookie on the computer and its little adroll cookie. Now wherever you go that has an agreement with adroll; advertising agreement.
I’ll be able to show you a custom advertising banner that I’ve created and show to you across other websites. So other websites like facebook or they might be third party websites which offer banner advertising.
[02:25] Whatever it might be there are different websites that offer retargeting. So it’s definitely a, sorry I’m just trying to let someone enter in front of me but didn’t see me.
[02:42] Anyway, so that’s what those implementing on their website which is really cool. And that’s gonna be, I’ve got about $200 at converted customer where else still be in the grain.
So, we’ve got to spend up to $200 to make a sale. And it will still be worth it to them. And that’s for the deal of network they use.
And it will probably be even higher if they make a direct sale.
[03:05] So yeah that’s what we’ll gonna ask from them. And we manage to work out a really cool basic sales funnel.
So what we’re gonna be doing with them is hooking up their ads. So we’re gonna be using facebook, we’re gonna be using other websites.
We’re gonna be using facebook newsfeed and then we’re gonna set up the retargeting; so it goes to a landing page.
[03:25] We will probably do a consultation about whether the product is right for them. And they’ll have their name, email and phone number where we can grab their information and follow up with them.
And then after that, we will either sell them on the phone or pass it on to one of the dealers who is around Australia. They can go and sell the product and go and install it for them.
[03:50] So it pretty neat way to get some sales. And I think it’s definitely gonna work with a budget of $200 ads spent per customer.
So per purchasing customer to sale it’s gonna be through really interesting results we gonna get.
[04:02] And what this company does is same with few different products as well. So it’s not specifically just this ventilation.
They offer roof ventilation, solar heating as well. So there are few different products to their company. And what we’re gonna do is you can actually segment who goes and visits which page on your website.
[04:22] So we’re gonna exclude people that view other products if we’re just targeting ventilation. And we’re gonna include people if they are going to pay just like the processing page which shows that who’ve got an interest.
And then they may‘ve left the website, so we’re gonna do some really cool things. ‘Coz you can include and exclude different pages based on where the user goes.
You can do a few pretty nifty things. I’m sure if any of you will try this out the best place to do it is at the hotels. Hotels industry does this really well.
Our capital Latham if I’m booking a hotel or something like that. Gather something like, booking.com has it, so it’s booking.com.
Have a look at some of their hotels and you’ll definitely say how they do it on facebook.
[05:03] So maybe go to a hotel stay there for about 20-30 seconds just in case. Go back to your facebook, reload it and you’ll see that specific hotel pop right up which is fantastic.
I mean, how valuable that is when you know that you’ve visited this hotel, you went through on the process the ad appears right there remind you to book the hotel. You might foresee the sale that the processing fingers anything you want.
And hotels, these are hotels websites at booking.com have a max of ads spent. So go have a look at that definitely and yeah that’s what I really want to set you up. Introduce you to a bit of retargeting.
