3 Lessons From The Wolf of Wall Street to Become Successful

If you haven’t watched The Wolf of Wall Street, be sure to add it onto your watch list.

Wolf Of Wall Street Gif Stephen Esketzis

This film is the ultimate combination of business, pleasure and entertainment. The reason why it’ll be one of the most successful movies of all time, is because of its incredible story line and the actors/director who they had carry out that vision to perfection. Throughout the film and story there are a variety of lessons and examples of how to be successful (and unsuccessful) but here are three that are very valuable to every entrepreneur and businessman.

        1. Never Take No For An Answer

This was probably the most obvious, yet still most important lesson throughout the entire film for us businessmen and entrepreneurs. The ultimate tool in business is LEARNING TO SELL. The day you think you know everything about selling is the day you stop becoming a successful salesman. Throughout scenes of the film we see Jordan Belfort hand out scripts to his colleagues to follow to the letter. If you’ve taken or looked into his Straight Line program you’d know that there are a million excuses as to why someone won’t buy your product, however when you narrow it down – there really aren’t that many paths the sale can lead down. So throughout your entire journey as an entrepreneur, remain resilient and persistent in your sales pitch.

        2. Appear Successful to Become Successful

It’s important to remember, projecting success leads to success…(unless you’re an incredible prodigy of a developer and turn out to be the next Bill Gates or Steve Jobs.) I’m not saying that you need to go out and spend $5000 on an Armani suit, but remember you’re the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with. Garbage men hang with garbage men and billionaires cruise with other billionaires. To make connections and becomes successful you need to be able to project confidence and look the part. Dress clean and tidy and look sharp when seeking to expand your network. You’ll begin to attract the right crowd and it’ll give your self confidence to mingle with people you strive to be like.

        3. Having the Right Connections is Everything

When you choose to open a business, it’s important to know who you’re going into business with. Are you heading down this road with the right ‘wolf pack’? When push comes to shove you need to know which group of people will stick by you when you business grows and when it suffers. You’ll realize that when life gives you lemons (no pun intended) most of your pals and colleagues will hit the road and look for the easy way out. But there’ll be the few who stick around and show that resilience to power through the difficult times and overcomes the hurdles in the way. But don’t take that lightly, these tough times, aren’t going to be easy, you might be making losses left right and center, and be in debt up to your eyeballs. So spend the extra time in finding out who your business partners are so when the tough times come, you battle them as a unit.

Hopefully these 3 lessons teach you something and allow you to think twice before your next business venture.

The Wolf Of Wall Street was really a fantastic film and I recommend it to all (everyone over 18 that is). I hope Hollywood keeps producing films of this caliber and we’re going to be in for a big year.
